Grant Programs

CCG operates four grant programs with unique eligibility criteria and application instructions:
Community Challenge Grant (CCG)

Provides funding to community groups, businesses, schools and nonprofit organizations to make physical improvements to their neighborhoods. Urban Watershed Stewardship Grant (WSG)
The Urban Watershed Stewardship Grant (WSG) is based on the idea that small individual actions by San Francisco watershed stewards add up to large benefits for San Francisco’s watersheds and sewer infrastructure. This partnership program between the CCG and the CCG and the SFPUC awards funding to implement green infrastructure projects, also known as Low Impact Design (LID) in their neighborhood.

Living Alleys Grant Program
The Living Alleys Grant provides funding to enhance and activate alleys, and is specifically for projects located within the boundaries of the Market Octavia Area Plan. This category is funded from impact fees generated from new development in the Area Plan. The respective funds are applied to community improvement projects in the area to accommodate increased use of existing amenities by new workers and residents resulting from new development. They are only to be used on capital projects as opposed to maintenance.
